As 2022 comes to a close, here are a few HOA highlights I wanted to shine some light on--
Website- it's alive again, and functioning. Thanks very much to Chris Chipps for his hard work on this project. A few member-only features are up and running and available after you've logged into the site (top right, click Menu | choose Login, and the menu will repopulate with additional features). If you don't yet have a login, please send me an email.
Block Party- after a long hiatus, the Startouch Drive Block Party returned this past October, with a pretty big turnout, including lots of food, beverages, and conversation. Thanks to all who participated!
Infrastructure- one of the bigger drainage issues on the street has been repaired. We initially engaged our Ward 2 Councilor Matt Keating to assist us with EWEB resolving the problem. Matt visited in person with several homeowners, where he indicated support, and his plan to follow up on the issue. However, after dozens of attempts to reach him, it was clear there would be no assistance from him or his office. So, we contracted a private service company to make the repairs at HOA expense. [Note: Every homeowner pays a monthly line item fee to EWEB for infrastructure maintenance- look on your bill. If you don't like the idea of paying a monthly fee for something that EWEB won't actually do, you may want to contact them. Also, if you're wondering why our city representative didn't follow through with his commitments, give him a call to see if he would like to explain. It's your dues money we were forced to spend on this repair.]
Thanks to all for your support and participation, and however you may celebrate this time of year, have a great end of 2022 and an even better 2023.
